Truncated: Yahoo Messenger Handle

I happen to have an account with yahoo.com.sg. I specified it under Yahoo Messenger Handle, and noticed that the .sg portion gets truncated.

Thus, my Yahoo Messenger Handle is not working at all.

Comments, advice anyone?

Isn't the yahoo.com.sg part irrelevant anyway? To contact someone on Y!IM you only need their Y!ID (e.g. the part before the @ in their Y! email address), at least that's how it used to be.
