Probably never mention nick but just call or sms, search for this number in google locally in Singapore, all turn up to be differenr forum complain it as pilot , the number should make it to sticky in B&S.

As a seller, always insist on dealing at your convenience.

Reach there then seller say, sold liao or his bro wants the lens or broken or some excuse... then how? :dunno:

I have also encoutered some ppl in here who reserve your stuff but only view a few days later.

Motive? Reserve yr lens and still in the look out for cheaper ones that might be posted.

SMS no reply, When you thought that he given up and re post yr sales, he called and say something wrong with blah blah blah thats y never reply.

Than he fix a date and time, on the actual day, he sms u and tells u he don need it anymore....

Some will tell u to reserve, he is ultra serious about buying, hours later say he thinks he don wans it anymore because I don wan to negoitate a lower price.

Crap.

I suggest we should have a rating system for buyers and sellers like those in Ebay to filter the sincere ones out from the crappies.

I support this !! X 1000000 ... yea this is true and right to have a rating for all members in the B&S zone .. not only for the old bird, but also for newbies who started photography .. by doing this, this may avoid any bad encounters happening..

Awesome. Odyssey-Boy and Ohok1973 should take the lead on this. You 2 ok on setting up and maintaining this system right?
;)

Ha ha, given the amount of BnS activity, sounds like a fulltime job!

heh.. mebbe that guy really has nothing better to do, but then again not every one here is a saint. i believe retribution befalls on those who are deserving heh..

So far I've bought but never sold. I always meet at sellers convenience. How you expect seller to lug the camera or lens everywhere?

Easier to deal at sellers place. At least if equipment not up to expectation can renegotiate price. And if still cannot it's easier to walk away.

I think both buyer and seller must have ethics lah. For example I was all set to buy a lens tonight but seller MSG me early today to apologize coz outbidded. No harm for both sides.
He put me in the queue. It takes both to be gentlemanly for smooth transaction lah.

83819398,this man do the same thing to me!!!I google and find this out?How to catch him?report to police??

someone mentioned abt buyer/seller feedback, like sgroc?

Remember that when you want to sue somebody, the only time you have a case, is when you have a quantifiable claim for loss due to his actions. Meaning you can put a monetary value on the losses you sustained due to this bugger's actions. Is there loss of wages? Transportation costs? From what I see, all you can claim is transportation costs, which will amount to less than $80 total. You cannot sue for pain or suffering or loss of wages as you have not been injured physically or emotionally. So if you want to sue him for less than $80, I would say go for it.

Anyway, from my experience in BnS, as a seller, always set the meeting place within short walking distance from your place (residence or work). And ask the buyer to call you once he reach the place. So if the buyer fly your plane, you are still ok. And I no longer reserve any product for viewing. Whoever shows up with the money and buys the product will get it.
Never meet at location defined by buyer. Unless buyer your transportation is paid in advance. I always ask my buyer to meet right under my flat. So far no problem.
I think sellers should do their part to protect themselves. Afterall, I think we have to aware of the risks involved in anything we do (eg. going very far to meet the buyer). Do you all think there should be a sticky to advise sellers also?

Just have a sticky up with the bad egg HP numbers?

At least all the buyer/seller has to do is do a forum search.

Me as a seller...

1) Want to buy come my place or places that i will be around.
2) Always said NO to delivery at their door step..
Note: There are some guy who said if you dun deliver to my door step you have to -$20
for my travelling fare.
3) Can reserve only for 1 week end...will sell off after that.

Me as a buyer...I have kids and baby to take care so difficult to arrange for meet up after office hour or week end due to family outing

1) Will try to ask for location that I can 'MAKE IT'...if not will tell seller I not buying (which most of them will huh but i have not choice and know they will not understand it)
2) I will tell seller do not reserve for me after a few days, if there is buyer along the way pls sell.

I do meet kind seller who happen to come by my place to sell me stuff which cost only $30-100.

maybe he just thinks people aren't being honest about the condition and value of their products in here. there's really no way of knowing until you go and view. i've lost count of how many bs condition ratings i've seen in here. only to be 'wtf, you greedy lying mf' when i go to view. not sure if this guy is just tired of being swindled by greedy sellers but it's possible.

some people are sick. 100% sick.

i keep advocating this - potential sellers, be smart about how you conduct your business!
