[Travel] Vietnam - An Analog Visual Journey

Finally finished developing the last roll of film from a recent trip to Vietnam.
Thought I'd share some of the shots with fellow RFers.

Gear:
- M6, paired with 35 Summicron. (Back-up was a 50 Summicron but I didn't use it in the end)
- Konica Hexar AF
- Nikon D700, my digital back-up

Film
- Kodak TriX, bulk roll
- Ilford Delta 100
- Kodak Ektar 100

Cities
- Ho Chi Minh City
- Danang
- Hoi An
- Hue

I chose to open with the above two shots because it pretty much summed up the sometimes discordant energy between the 2 facets of Vietnam. Beneath the veneer of its new shiny buildings and malls is the fascinating history of one of the world's fastest developing country.

As you can see, this is a heavily scratched negative. Almost "lost" this roll as I had wound the last frame too hard and it got dislodged from the catridge. Had to find a "dark room" and somehow fish the roll of negative out of the camera.

Well, this will certainly leave more than just scratches on your back. Prisoners were held in this barbed caged.
