Yeah! His response is super fast. I was expecting that it will be a week before I could play with the lens but who knows ... the UPS guy came knocking in a day or two

dunno y urs so slow... i got mine yesterday having fun with it liao...:bsmilie:

initial thoughts, it's almost similar to the 25mm/1.4 cctv cmount from china which is very cheap, the mount is also similar (just thinner) to c-mount which both are screw on type, even the aperture design. Built quality is better for this slr magic lens, and seems to have better multicoat than the cctv lens. seems to have fair bit of CA and flare, nonetheless a very fun lens! Did i mention the rubber color rings helps to attract onlookers;p

Just want to check, whats the minimum working distance of your lens?
It stated at slr magic ebay site that's minimum focal distance is 0.3m.. But mine Is about 0.5m minimum >_<

Hmm. Honestly I haven't really measured how close I could get. Hahaha. I just turn it all the way to the NEAR direction and then move a little just to get focus. Will try it when I get home.

haven't tried, but my thoughts after trying the 26/1.4 is similar to chinese cctv 25/1.4 effects, the fun part is the swirly bokeh. I used the cctv 35/1.7 (not slr magic) before but I do think it's also similar to the slr magic version (Yes, I'm assuming), has less swirl than 25/1.4, quite sharp centre and not so at sides. The 35/1.7 fun part fades off pretty fast for me at least. It's not a preformance lens and has less fun swirl than 26/1.4. I sold it off pretty fast and it cost way less than slr magic version. So for me, i won't buy this lens.
