ok i need to ask 2 questions.

What are the differences between the Tokina 28-70mm F2.6-2.8 Pro and Tokina 28-70mm F2.6-2.8 Pro II apart from the finishing of the barrel (Crinkle vs ordinary), the lens hood (screw-in standard vs bayonet flower hood) and the II designation? Any optical difference? How much better is the Pro II?

And also, on a Nikon camera, in order for the focus clutch mechanism to work properly in manual mode, I will still have to switch the M,S,C switch on the camera to M?

Eh, the f/2.6-2.8 has a bayonet hood lar.

You don't have to swtich to M on the 28-80mm f/2.8

But you'll have to switch to M on the camera for the 28-70/2.8 Pro/Pro II to be in manual mode. Hopefully the new 28-70 Pro SV will have the same clutch design as the 28-80.

Does anyone know the price ranges of the different versions? New and 2nd-hand.
