Tibet 2013 - Ten years too late

My first travel documentary!

<Introduction>
Lhasa, Tibet is a developing city that has lost much of its innocence. I found myself ten years too late.

-------
Apologies for the poor English and narration. Video and photography is easy for me, but it's difficult to be a travel host and the lack of oxygen at the high altitude makes me gibberish.

Corrections in the video: It took 24 hours to get to Lhasa from Xining, not 2 hrs! The impact of high altitude!

In addition, doing this video has shown me how poor my vocab is :p

Your comments and guidance is appreciated.
Special thanks to Rodney of Bamboo Pictures for the technical advisory and Wang Chia Ye for the travel info.

Shot with Nikon D800, Sony HDR-PJ660EV

Nice ... very well done ...

Thanks for the kind comments Pettypoh and Ryan. Will certainly work harder the next round.

Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed it very much. I have problems dealing with Acute Mountain Sickness and watching your video is as good as being there myself ! I like your map routing technique, any chance you can briefly share some tips on that? Thanks!

Thank you for your kind words.

We took western altitude sickness and that worked better than Ginko nuts or Chinese medicine. While all is good, my wife and I had nose bleed though. Not sure if it was related.

To do the map-routing, i used a template and adjusted in After Effects. Took me a while to figure out as the artist who designed it didnt make it as user friendly as others. You can see the template here:

I had a bad experience with AMS in ZhongDian (Shangrila Yunnan) which was just slightly 4,000 meters above sea level. Thanks for the heads up on the template and to more exciting travel videography!
