it's quite cheap and good but the shops don't bring them in

I was looking for the Super 383 (non-TTL brother of the 433D) but couldn't find it.

Yes, if you can get it. I was looking high and low for a Sunpak 433D - called up all the shops I know, including AP, CP, FotoGuide, even Alley Photo and they all said they don't carry it or other Sunpak flashes. In the end, I bit the bullet and bought a used Nikon SB28. Didn't regret the decision.
