JFYI, the bag that James is carrying is packed with 70-200VR, 14-24, 24-70, D3 with a RRS L bracket and a D700. Plus a 13" macbook. Definitely looks slimmer than the Airports series anytime.

Did either the 14-24 or the 24-70 go into the flash pouch? Quite impressive considering it having a load of stuffs in it.

Wow that is full-load already man.

Just tested putting the equipments into the bag compartments.

I even can stuff some skin modulus in the compartments with lens. This safe me the space to put them onto the pro speed belt. Will test run in the next two days event shoot. :)

Hi, shared with you my experience on using Shapeshifter in the past two days.

The bag (Shapeshifter) performed more than I expected. The 5 compartments in the bag are able to let me carried 2 systems. With the combinations of the skin series to create a hybriad system, it ables me to carry more. As usual, I can carry following items the compartments:

1) Canon 1D MK3
2) Canon 5D
3) Canon 70-200mm f2.8L IS (with hood revised)
4) Canon 16-35mm f2.8L (With hood extend)
5) Canon 580EX2

By combining the skin series, puting Skin Strobe in the 70-200mm compartment and Skin 50 in 1D MK3 compartment with the rain cover taken out. I can put 3 more small lens or lens without hood.

Items that can be put in
1) In 70-200mm compartment with Skin Strobe - 100mm macro & 135mm without hood
2) In 1D MK3 compartment with Skin 50 - small lens like 50mm or 85mm or 2 X 50mm with the divider in between.

Do take note this skin pouches can be taken out to be put onto the Pro Speed Belt during shooting. Another comment, the valco on the Skin pouches can be stick onto the compartment.

For the other pockets in the bag exterior, I can put batteries and other items, plus accessories for my computer. There are two padded pockets in the top pockets can put Ipods and Iphone or maybe an external harddisk.

The two tripod holders that comes with the bag, besides carrying tripods of all sizes, they can hold foldable reflectors or other items.

The computer compartment is spacous enough to fit in a 17" laptop. But for my case, I can fit in an 13" inch Macbook with an umbrella. You can even put water bag in it for better hydration.

I removed the bag's wist belt and replaced with a Pro Speed Belt to allow me two carry more Skin pouches like Skin 75 Pop Down and Skin Chip Cage Pop Down. This able me to carry additional items and lenses. There is another advantage, the Pro Speed Belt can be easily removed form the bag, even without taking down the bag. This offer good flexibility. I love this function.

There are certain things which I like to have some improvement on the bag.

First, when the 5 compartments are fully filled with big items. The items are quite difficult to take out due to the small space between the compatment. But if filled with small items, there are no issue.

Secondly, I would like it the bottom part of the bag to to be bigger to allow the bag to stand and able to put items in the lower compartment when it is compressed. You need to empty the items from the compartment before you are able to make it to parata.

Cheers!

the 2nd suggestion would pretty much contradict the idea of the prata. It seems to me that idea of the prata to be as flat as possible when the equipment are taken out. By making the bottom bigger, it would only add to its profile when compressed.

Still got stock for SS? Should I buy?

I used Antidote v2 for packing my equipment for travelling and skin system for daily walk around, quite comfortable setup. Love this system and very convenience.
Sometime leave antidote in the hotel and used Skin system for wholeday outing.

should still have stock. Why not just call TK to confirm before heading down?

Hi everyone.

Im also a TT fan. Just bought the SS 3 days ago from TK, and found it a little too big and "structureless" for my liking. Letting go for $320. If you like to save $30 on a brand new unused bag, pls sms me at 90933544. BTW I have the TT UD40, airport check-in and Speed freak and find them great:-)

BBB indeed! Hope you find a buyer soon!

239 with GST

The belt is sold separately from the set. Too bad the offer for a free belt is only available in the US. It would be nice to have a package deal to include it with the set.

The bag is growing on me!

It's so convenient for school, and for every other instance when I wanna carry a laptop and camera, or A4 sized documents and camera. (AND, there's still space for a sweater! Sweet.)

Look out for a full review on the Think Tank bag review thread soon!

Er.....we had been discussing about ShapeShifter for quite sometime. Does anyone have any reviews on street walker series? :)
