Buying high-end lenses is the better option for me. Nvrmind FF or APS-C body.

You don't get raw output in APS mode on the a850/900

That is exactly what i meant, because it cannot be done. It will not happen to any digital camera. Raw files save the entire sensor resolution and not cropped resolution. If any manufacturer does it, it defeats purpose of shooting RAW.

Rest of what you say makes plenty of sense. But if photography is about fun, why can't it be as much if not more so about the photographs than the gear?

I call myself a photographer not a cameraean or something like that anyway.

Not saying it can't be about the gear, just that it should be about the photographs as well.

Sure... having fun with gear is also fun.... but that's different type of fun.

i think in future, more and more FF bodies will be launched and will be cheaper...

Yes, I want cheaper FF with smaller size, weight, and add on flash, pano shoot, twilight theme and video recording function in the future.

It's true in some sense... at least I can't stand using a smaller viewfinder after just under a year with the A900... I cannot stand the slowness of the AF modules on lesser cameras... but I can't stand the bulk of the A900 when travelling sometimes...
