i'm seriously thinking of getting these 2 "zoom" lenses.
i've been offered a brand new WATE for about $S6500 with the finder and a second hand 28-35-50 (version 1) for about S$3600. do you think the prices are ok?

anyone has own or used them? do you think it's worth it?

thanks

Hurry! Quick get the MATE, version 1 is not so popular, but optically the same as Version 2. Price is just below average, but again, depends on condition and whether it is 6-bit.

tried the Tri Elmar before, not impressed with it. Saw two minty pieces at Photo Arsenal Hong Kong last weekend. I think it was 6 bit coded. Many nice stuffs over there too.:-) Contact the manager Evan Wong. Most of his goods are second hand stuffs from Europe, none from China.

Their prices are out of this world.

No hacker, cheaper than the ones in Tokyo and better conditions.:-) 6 bit coded from Germany as well.:-)

not sure about the prices in Japan but I think they are indeed more expensive than what I've seen so far...even more expensive than the UK.

but they sure seem to have a good stock of the hard to find stuff....a few noctiluxes there! ;p

thanks hacker but too late. somebody has already got it.:(
anyway, good for my pocket. should go out shoot more and spend less time looking for lenses

you can get my 15mm/f4.5 + 21mm/f4 + 28mm/f3.5 + 35mm/f2.5 +50mm/f2.5 (covers both WATE & MATE) and it still cost one third of the price of the WATE. ;p

nice try chiif. Unfortunately, I can't stack them together to make it a 3-in-1 lens :bsmilie:

Yes, they have a few second hand nocts in stock but all booked, one being booked by a famous HK actor. They are left with one brand new Noct with warranty at HKD70,000. I was there last Saturday to get the last piece. They are revising the prices of the existing second hands Nocts. Yes, they have many rare pieces, even got a minty first version of the Noct, the 50mm f/1.2 Noct. They even stock the whole range of brand new CZ lenses.:-)
