The "Not-so-blue" Danube river....

I guess when Johann Strauss wrote the piece "Blue Danube", the river was still blue.

the colors might be too saturated in the blue and green channels for conventional taste. i'm curious to the 3rd pic, why is there a doughnut shadow in the middle with a halo around? the boat in the centre is bright, then around it the central is dark, then bright again, then vignette again. there is perhaps a faint shadow of such in pic 1 & 2 or perhaps just vignetting, but #3 is very prominent.

No idea how the "doughnut" shadow is there. It came out clearly only after the color curve was changed with PS (to enhance the colors). It is barely visible in the original photo. I guess it is something to do with the camera lens of my 3-yr old point & shoot Casio EX-S3. I can't expect too much from this camera. It is a great tiny little camera for street & candid shots though.
