He used a 4k -> 1080p scaler box to downscale the 4k image of the Sony A7s and record it via a Atomos.
The results are incredible.
At the moment, it seems like one of the best 'real Full-HD' 1080p images around for prosumer cameras. It beats the **** out of the C100 for 1080p quality.
Take a look at it yourself. And we are comparing with 1080p images, not 4k mind you. I would love to see how a 'POST' scaled 4K - 1080p image from GH4 would look side by side.
