Reporting from Northern Thailand
Report & Photo by Khairi.

Right now, it's rainy season in Chiang Mai, but people are plenty and NIGHT MARKETS
are NUMEROUS and BIG! In addition to that, it's a colourful scene.

But then, my wife and I decided to go somewhere further. The northern Thailand-Myanmar Border!

Booked a local guide and off to the border we went the next day.
It took us 5 hours to reach there because we detoured a lot.

One of our detour was to the golden triangle first. Took a boat into Laos, stayed for half an hour
and back to Thailand again. Back in Thailand, we met this group of kids playing 'four-stones' with,
well...stones!

Time to go to the border. A quick lunch and off we go.

We learn a good lesson about travelling once we reach the boder.
Travelling is always a pathetic event if you forget to bring a camera or a camcorder.
So here's what you do: Immediately buy a disposable cam, and snap your love ones.

The locals there told me to get a postcard and mail it home...well, I wanted
to but the problem is that, I found one one Thailand post box after an hour searching.

From the Thailand-Myanmar northern most border, my wife and I went to Karin Village to see
the 'Long Ear and Long Neck' tribe. They called themselves hill tribe, but our van
seems to climb a mountain. Our driver had to switch off everything...of course, not the engine ya.

An hour later...kids greeted us. Lovely kids from the hill tribe.

(Well, can't post all my shots right? So I guess, two is enough? He he :D Sorry ya)

Then it's back to Chiang Mai...and it's an agonising 3 hours ride back through the hills!!!
