hi all! thank you for your kind interest :)
any suggestion of themes etc?

karen,

There is a saying "Rome was not built in a day", having no experience in real shoot kind of situation and wanting to jump straight into fashion ( as in real fashion work the type that we see in the better magazines meaning normally not her world or female) is not gonna happen.

Getting decent head, head n shoulders, 3.4 and full body in various angles is possible provided your shooter knows what to do since if you are green the shooter will have to do all the heavy lifting. If your shooter is green too well then let's hope for the best.

he is just being straight forward and he meant well.

if you are serious going into modeling, then choose a suitable photog to take your photos.

cos he can make or break your photos. :)

do scrutinize the past works done by the photog to see his style suits you before allowing him to take photos for you.

to be a model, you need to work hard, prove yourself, far beyond just a pretty face or good figure.

Eellery is a very experience senior photographer, knowing him is very frank and direct at his comment, and he is hardly many any post nowadays, it is good that he did give you some suggestions.

CS here has far too many wannabe photographers and most of them will put up with you, in the real modeling/photographer circle, nobody will.

good luck.

actually there is also many models wannabes... and most haven become real model are already showing attitudes.

supply and demand =.= models want to get a "portfolio" fast and photographers need to get "experience". So what to do? anyway i hope Karen gets a good portfolio =)

take what some people say with a pinch of salt. Most mean good but due to their experience (in photography and clubsnap), do not come across as the most pleasant responses.

hi all, thank you all for you advice! i understand that he meant well and i take it well into consideration. Sorry i've been very busy with school and haven't been able to log onto clubsnap, but i am still looking into tfcd shoots during weekends :) do contact my email i.kare@hotmail.com

i;m looking into shoots with cigarettes, just an idea. thanks all :)

hey karen i already pm you if u interested to get me message me back take care!

I support what u said over here .. many shooter , if some of you have eye to see are green .. for a noobie to start of and NO experience at all and suggest studio to be preferred .. Come on... If u really think u want to give a try in this field . by all mean get a headstart with the TFCD. but be prepared to take Critic from us and that is your learning ground.

We take many years to perfect our trade. and we still wun dare to say we are there .. Coming from those days we shoot and post and get wack down by the "old bird" and that how we learn.
