Teleconvertor for Z2

Just bought a 3rd party (Giotto) 2x Tele convertor for my Z2. It cannot seem to focus at distance object (at infinity). Tried using manual focusing but still shows the same result. At closer distance, it's ok.

Any help or advice?

BTW, I have a similar brand wide convertor. I have no problem with that. Z2 have a wide convertor option in its menu. But whether I select that or not, the wide convertor works.

i think the tele doesn't works with the cam. causing the workin distance to be shorter.
for wide angle is diff. if u set yr wide convertor option to on, u cannot zoom. due to it's "wide angle", any sense to use wide angle and zoom???

Thanks for your reply. The sales guy at Cathay Photo did not say it won't work. I tried focussing using the convertor and it works ok. Only tried shooy distance object when I got home...

Wanted a cheaper option of getting a longer zoom when required occasionally to shoot sporting events... Not ready financially to upgrade to DSLR.

So any advice to up the zoom capability without having to change the camera? And a 52mm 2x teleconvertor is available for sale... paid $63 on 9/7.
