28-75 got a aperture ring... but iirc i nv saw one on my frend 17-50(guess becos it was meant for fully digital..

28-75.. i want to use on FM2 as well.. so no pt buy 17-50.. for me at least.. thanks for info!!!

I usually use f4... Seldom want to use aperature larger than that because I think it looks too soft at wide aperature...

it's decently sharp. at 4R print size, wide open at f/2.8 is perfectly fine. at f/4 is really becomes very very sharp.

A pity it wasn't wider by 4mm. This lens would've been on my wishlist, had it been a 24-75, or 24-85 even. Tamron lenses :thumbsup: than Sigma lenses IMHO.

i happened to see your other thread.. it's softer at 28mm f2.8 only or at all focal lengths?

Aiyah, every lens has a bit of dust inside, even Canon Ls.

i know. read somewhere that dust in lens can create flare, right? will be watching out for it.
if under warranty, will the service centre remove the dust particles?
