Hi guys, does anyone ever use SD card with adaptor instead of SxS card on professional camera like Sony PMW200 and EX1 Maybe there's some pros and cons of using SD card as compared to SxS card.
Been doing that for over 4 years with EX1 and 1R as well as EX3. The biggest advantages are cost effectiveness and that you don't need a separate reader or computer with Express card slot for ingest. Of course transfer is a bit slower but reliability has never been an issue. I've heard certain cards may not work well with certain adapters but no issues with my Transcends so far in XDCam EX format.
