Hi Guys,
Had a rewarding experience at Lower Pierce Reservoir today ...
Was lucky to spot a Heavy Jumper again today, seemed like its heavy jumper season ...
Anyway, was busy snapping around the Heavy Jumper when I saw a caterpillar nearby ...
In the beginning, the caterpillar didn't bother me much ... until it "intruded" into my frame ...

1. The Kaypoh Caterpillar

2. It started to crawl down the leaf to reach to another leaf ...

3. Little did the caterpillar knew that he was nearby the vicinity of the Heavy Jumper

4. Caterpillar : "Crap ... a spider ... better make run ...."
IMG_1846.jpg

5. The Heavy Jumper suddenly took notice of the panicky caterpillar ...

6. The Heavy Jumper turned away and showed no interest of the caterpillar ...

7. I think this caterpillar had a huge risk appetite today, he took the risk crossing to the other leaf via the Heavy Jumper's territory ....

8. ... which in turn, cuts across the view of the Heavy Jumper ...

9. SNAP! Heavy Jumper immersed its fangs into the caterpillar

10. Caterpillar was totally knocked off unconsious ....

11. The Heavy Jumper then dragged his prize .... away from potential prying eyes ...

12. ... into a little nice corner of the leaf and savour the whole caterpillar ... rich in vitamins and minerals ...

thanks tltan,
yes, i did use a horseshoe flash (1pin) manual, not TTL.
not sure why the exif doesnt show.
Most of the shots are taken around F11-13, shutter 200-300, ISO 100
