super 8 film in singapore

hey guys,

does anybody know if super 8 film is available in singapore? did a search and found an old thread and i'm following up those leads, but it's a 2 year old thread so i thought i'd ask again if there's anybody who might know a source.

I suggest you check with Film Technical Services.

They are probably the one and only film processing lab in Singapore and they might have a clue how to source for 8mm film. But then again, I think 8mm is obsolete and you can only get 16mm minimal.

FTS does not process 8mm. When you get the kodak 8mm stock, you can send it via mail to the states and they will do the processing for you. The other alternatives would be Melbourne and perhaps other parts of Aust. Kodak still sells it though I'm not sure if the Singapore office still stocks it. I usually get pple to buy for me when they go overseas.
There is a company in the states that processes and telecines ir for you so you get the rushes on digital format. That's pretty useful.

I have contacted them and will reply what their charges, i have a 8mm film that needs to be processed.

I have a similar problem. I have inherited many reels of old film and a projector but I don’t have a 400' automatic take-up reel. Do you know where I could get one in Singapore. I have also contacted FTS and I am awaiting their response
