Hi all,

I am suggesting the opening of two new galleries namely the newbie's gallery and the "Just to share" gallery.

Newbie's gallery
This gallery is for newbie who either just started out photography or is handling a new camera or even starting out in a new area of photograhy. This will allow "old birds" or those who are more familiar with a particular camera to give them pointers and advise them on the proper usage.

Just to share gallery
This gallery is more informal than the rest of the galleries. Shots including snapshots from a particular event or photoshoot can be dumped, I mean posted here. :P More like a banal type of photo gallery with no restriction to the number of photos posted here.

Why the introduction of these galleries
The main purpose is to increase the standard of the remaining galleries. We can impose a cap of 3 photos per thread and it should represent the best from your photoshoot or based on a particualar theme. Posters should refrain from posting shots that are obviously flawed fr your own personal expectation. I believe this will increase the overall standard of photography in the forum.

Hope the standard of photography in Clubsnap will soar in the new year.
All the best and happy shooting. :D

The purpose of this club is to let every learn from each other together, whether newbie or professional. I think it won't be nice to draw a boundary line to identify who is newbie, who is professional. Imagine during seed or gathering/seed, someone come to you and introduce himself " hey, I am yyy, the one who posted in the newbie gallary." Funny isn't it??

Everyone got their own defination on the word "newbie".

Mr A saw Mr B using a point and shoot camera, he will say Mr B is a newbie.

Mr C is using the latest Brand XXX DSLR camera which cost $20,000, Mr D think Mr C is a professional coz of the expensive camera, but Mr E might thought Mr C is a newbie from his lousy shot.

Someone claimed himself a professional, posted a shot in nature gallary for example. Another guy saw his post may thought " hmm, his shot is not up to standard, he should post it in the newbie gallary." .

I believe we won;t want this to happen.

Draw no boundaries.

My initial intention is for those "old birds" to give extra help or make the extra effort to take notice of those who are beginning venture in a new area. Anyway just a thought. What do you think of the "Just to share" gallery?
