I am looking for a hardware-based MP4 video recorder. I am using it to record lectures with the video feed coming from an analog video switcher/mixer and the audio feed from an audio mixer. The current recorder in use is the Vosonic 8870 and I am looking for a replacement/backup.
Vosonic and Archos do not appear to be making similar devices anymore.
I need a hardware solution to record from an analog source to MP4, with either a screen for live view or an AV out. I would like the MP4 format due to ease of in simple editing (simple titles, trimming clips, etc). I cannot afford the money for expensive professional equipment and time to do complex editing.
Any suggestions or workarounds?
