Hi, I intend to organize a studio workshop session, we will spend a lot of time to set up the lights/mood "together"; there will still be a model available for shooting, but the shooting time will be very limited.

The main objective is to try out the so-called 50 classic portrait setup/pose and every participant will set up the lights/mood together, and after that all will shoot at the same setup.

The session will be for a very long day, probably a Saturday afternoon 2-7pm, or until we all get exhausted/out-of-ammo situation.

The cost will be at $60.

Anyone interested?

sounds interesting =)

is it possible to finish all 50 in the time alloted?

Its not possible, but we will continue until everyone is exhausted. Mind you, studio photography require a lot of energy/work, over time you will build up muscles because of that. Haha.

Kinky...

:p

Btw, you are not Eric, are you?

Astin, will you consider holding sessions over 2 consecutive weekends to cover all 50 setups?

Astin,

You know me, I NEVER RUN OUT OF AMMO, but will most likely be exhausted. The other thing that I could run out of would be battery power, but that could be fixed too, I guess.

However, please do update us on when do you want to try this out. I am interested too just got to find the time to do it.

The model can be male or female, depends on what mood we choose. Of course if the response is good, we can continue in next weekend and so on until we have done all!
Now I need a namelist:

trying out 50 setups by inexperienced people like me within 5 hours: impossible. last time 6 people spent 3 hours only trying out 3 setups but still not fully successful.

showing 50 setups by very experienced people within 5 hours:
possible but amazing. dun forget it's only 6 minutes for each setup. means he/she must finish each setup within couple of minutes. he/she must be 100 percent sure knowing exactly how to do and can do very very quickly.

Interested! Thank Astin for your effort!

Thanks for your quick sign-up. Pls bear in mind that this workshop focus on lights/mood, so whether the model pretty or not is of a second priority. I just want to get those classic portrait shots that every pros keep in their portfolios.
