Stuck with adjusting/ calibration

Doesn't sound like the same one... It IS the same one... Zzzzz so what did u do with it? What u mount on it?

Did u like upgrade to a better one that actually works and not tat hard to adjust?

I find it quite easy to adjust. The top mounting plate allows front and back tilt adjustment while the slider is for right and left adjustment. But idk why its continuously swaying even though i set the drop time to 3s. Srry newbie at using stabilizers

I tried doing all the adjustments too but kinda failed at it... Anyway thanks a lot for the guide on adjustments. Will try to adjust and calibrate again! Kum sia many many

xjosephtbr , 3 secs drop time is too long for your walking speed. That is the reason it is continuously swaying. Do a 1.5 secs instead.
Do 3 secs if you are gonna sprint with your system.

ahh.. thanks for the advice ill try with 1.5 :P

You can coax it a little with your free hand.

Added yonghuo lights and a mic.. Whole thing went bonkers... Would there be senior bros willing to meet me to guide up?

It's simple moments. Put the centre of gravity of the system into the centre of the gimbal to achieve static equilibrium. However, when there is acceleration (walking, slowing down) there will be a force acting on the system hence the swaying. Compensate that with drop time adjustment or use your free hand. Your hours of calibration is for only for one system (a particular weight configuration.) To protect your time investments, use different colored markers/stickers to mark different balanced position for different weight configurations (different accessories) so that you can quickly regain balance in the field. In an emergency just hold the stabiliser by the centre column instead of the gimbal handle, that will eliminate all unwanted swaying. Make sure the centre of gravity of the changed system is inside the palm of your grip. Then grab your right wrist with your left hand to reduce unwanted panning.

Hmmm pro 就是 pro! Thanks again bro. Will try to calibrate again after work. I spent a few hours doing it last night but whenever I hold the gimbal up, the whole thing swayed without me moving.. I was thinking could it be the counterweights not heavy enough or the gimbal itself do not support the weight of the setup.

You know you don't have enough counterweights when the C.G. pivot in the horizontal position is beyond where the the gimbal can go.

Oh no.... Do u happen to know where I can buy counter weights? They should be universal if my guess is correct?

I saw ur Lexus vid. Best! Were u using 10-22 or 11-16 for the wide shots?

Thanks for your interest. Wide shots are shot on Olympus MZuiko 9-18mm. You can use big washers as additional counterweights. Hardware stores along Kelantan Lane sells them.
