Sticky Tripod Handle

Hi Guys. I have a Velbon Alta 204AP tripod and have not been using it for awhile now. I just got it out and found that the rubbery locking handles are all sticky. Washing them or cleaning them with wet tissues does not help. Anyone has experience with this and how did you solve it? Otherwise, where can I can the spare replacement handles?

Most fixes are temporary I think. Check these out:

Another option is to wrap it with a new material, e.g., black gaffer tape, black tennis racquet grip wrap.

Otherwise, where can I can the spare replacement handles?

Try checking with the local Vanguard CSC:

Call our friendly Customer Service Center at + (65) 6848 4707. Please have the product type and model name ready before calling so we can find information for you quickly and efficiently.

the plastic part is melting, so just cover it with other material like Mod kandinsky suggested.
