any more 7i user out here?
for me, I found the batt consumtion not a major issue at all,
as usual, you will need an extra set of NiMh batt for a day shoot
my set of Sanyo 1850mAh can last me for the whole everning on the X-planet opening that day..
I only dislike that it will feel warm on the heatsink at CF compartment..
and / but the 7hi larger buffer, and black sexy body... hmm..
tempted too.. but not so fast..only less than a month leh my 7i..

FYI......
TO be frank, the "Made in xxxx" does not make sense now a days as parts comes from all over the place.
As MONEY+COST is the driving factor juz to let you know that almost ALL electronics products now made in the Asia pacific region.
You can have a camera made in Malaysia and only the last piece of item let say the control panel cover not installed - then send to japan just only for snapping on - then put a label as "Made in Japan".....
Well...this is all the taxation law peoples tricks of the trade......

By the way DO NOT BUY an electronics goods too long away from date of release when there is extreme price reduction.....its not a ply to clear the stuff but actually the parts in the product has been cost reduced (change material - bla bla bla)....
SO it looks like its cheaper......but actually it may have "theoretically less parts" sometimes..........
In any way these BIG guys will find away to "make more" profit.

As an example example, try to check earlier released products with those plastic sticker labels at the back....when the price is reduced...you may find these labels moulded to the plastic body....so less"labels" means less 3 cents.......which multiply with millions of products is big savings....
