I am starting a new loan initiative:
i have 2 nice FSU (former soviet union) lens which I want to lend
to any RF seeking to try it out.
The plan is this, loan for typically 1 week, max 2 weeks.
Free of charge but please take care of it. Do not clean it or
tweak it unless it is done professionally. All registering should be
done on this thread.
(a) 50/f2 Jupiter-8. Shimmed for Leica by Brian Sweeney
includes a LTM to M mount adapter. Thsis is a Sonnar design
lens, and produces very nice images of people when aperture wide-open.
Stopped down, it is very sharp and (in my opinion) a bit underexposed
at narrow apertures.
(b) 35/f2.8 Jupiter-12 with a wrong LTM-M attached. This is a biogon-copy
and produces very nice old-world images. This copy works on my R-D1 but
not sure if it will support the M8 or M9 or (CL) as the rear protrudes very
far back.
Rules:
-------
1. One person one lens
2. One week loan unless 2 weeks stated
3. All borrowers to "register" in this thread
4. Do not attempt to clean the lens
5. Take care of the equipment. Treat as your own.
Let me know if anyone interested to borrow these lens.
