I went back to shooting Kodak film this weekend, specifically, Kodak TMAX100. Thus far, I have not developed any Kodak film with any other developers, except HC110. Today, I tried processing it with Rodinal, stand developed. My process as follows:

Film: Kodak TMAX100 Push 2-stops to ISO 400.
Dilution: Rodinal (1:12) using 5ml concentrate to 500ml water at 20C to process 1 roll of film.
1. Gentle inversions for first 30 seconds (I counted 5)
2. Stand for 60 minutes, no interim inversions.
3. Water stop bath @ 20C. Continuous inversion for 30 seconds.
4. Kodafix for 5 minutes, with 5 inversions at the start of every minute.
5. Rinse for 10 minutes.
6. Kodak Photo-Flo.

I was surprised by how well the film handled being pushed 2-stops. My previous attempt at pushing ACROS100 + HC110 resulted in a lot of grain. In this case, the texture remains smooth and creamy, with little visible grain.

I'm not sure if its the rodinal at work, or simply Kodak being a better film? Comments welcomed.

I'm no expert on this but the pictures are lovely....

very nice indeed and lovely tones.
is your dilution (1:12) a typo ?

spot on, it should be 1:125....my apologies

i think so long as the agitation process is kept to a minimum, grains are much easier to control.
Nice. Makes me want to roll out that 100ft of TMax 400 now.
