Sports/Continuous shooting on SLRs

Hi all! Recently found my grandpa's old F5 (Nikon) and decided to give it a try again after not using it for almost 7 years and its still a great camera.

I understood in the 1970s nikon had created specialised film backs for the F2 with 250 exposures capabilities to enable them to shoot continuous without needing to change film canisters. Considering the F5 and canon 1v were the pinnacle of SLRS photography and for sure was used in sports/animal (cheetah running) I can't seem to find ANYTHING at all about bulk film canisters.

Do share or let me know if you'll know where I can find one, or how it works for the F5!!

Thanks so much

AFAIK, the last long roll film back is made for F4, there is no long roll film back for F5.

and even if you able to find the film back and shoot with long roll film of 250 frames, you won't able to find anyone to process for you locally, unless you want to cut them down to the normal 36 exposure film strip. or look for film reel, processing tank for long roll and do DIY processing.

the f5 doesn't have the 250 exp bulk film back. even though it's fps rate is fast, i don't think photographers burst shoot the way people do with dslr these days. i don't think many photographers use the 250 exp bulk film back on the other f line cameras too. it's really bulky and cumbersome

either way, you got a real solid camera in the f5. enjoy it! it's fantastic
