Sony Vegas Video Plugins

Hi,

does any one knows where to get the transitions and other plugins for the sony vegas as i understand tat they are limited things in the software itself. thanks

There are a few plugins around for Vegas. Try the VASST website first for freebies and cheapos, then you can also check out Adorage, Heroglyph and Mercalli from Prodad, and hundreds of effects from NewBlueFx.

Did you try the VASST website? I remember they had some free stuff.

The NewBlueFx has a free cartoonR plugin that is wonderful.

There is also a free plugin called Wax, that has a few effects in it. Used to be at a site called debugmode but it may have moved by now. I think it is still available though.

Did you manage to install the plugin? There will be a xxxxxx.dll file that has to go into the following folder

C:\Program Files\Sony\Vegas Pro 8.0\Video Plug-Ins

(assuming you are using Vegas 8.0 of course).

Then when you open Vegas, the plugin should be available in the Transitions tab. Just drag it onto a transition that you have made on the timeline, then the control panel for the transition should open up and you can adjust the plugin settings.
