Ryan, your current E mount lenses cannot cover the entire Full-Frame sensor of the A7. So there is no crop. ( but there is big black border) But you can switch the A7 to APS-C mode to prevent this. Some E mount lenses apparently will suffer vignetting even if the A7 is switched to APS-C mode. No list are available yet of which E mount lens will have vignetting and which won't.
To take advantage of the full frame sensor, you must now buy "FE" range of E-mount lenses. Currently only five FE lenses have been announced.
FE lenses will be larger than the APS-C lenses so that is the down-side. But if you stick to just prime FE, the lenses should not much bigger. eg the new FE 50mm 1.8 has a filter size of just 49mm.

So I suppose it is safer to get the new FE system of lens.

But at the end of the day, I think FF sensor will still come with FF size ..

Maybe, for this reason I better stick to my GH3 and VG30. Too expensive for me to start a new system ...

Btw, can I know whether is there a limit of 29 mins of continuous video recording in this A7/7R ?

Not sure about the 29 minutes limit. But A7 certainly not for new GH3 and VG30 owner. But for GH2 and VG20 owners, it's a no-brainer.
