I think so. If you notice on the LA-EA1 there is no screw to then the screw driven lens. They might come out a version 2 later..who knows.

I'm guessing its for bounce flash. There's a switch at the side similar to the FVL-20 used for bouncing.

This would be great news as one of the biggest reason i'm not getting the NEX is no bounce flash.
