Sony SC got our Minolta user details?

Strange thou... went to Sony today, pressed the KM button, waited quite a while... then send my lens for servicing. Then he asked me for my mobile number, and was strange never ask my name... then he just print, then i ask, u know my name? he said, ya we have your record... oooh...

May be you have sent Sony/KM stuff to SSC before? Or KM pass the infor to them?

I meant you supply your detail to SSC before the merger? Possibly they share the customer data.
Else where do they get your detail from?

ya was thinking... KM records all stored to Sony... but strange ar, never invite us for A100 promo or something... they obviously know that most of us would be buying... haha... maybe A200

Sony recently released some GPS thing for photographers. Heard they have embedded it into the A-100. So not only do they know who you are, they also know where you have been.

anyway they did a focusing check for me, found no error, then just charge me 10.50, since nothing to replace.

DCA, thought u own a digital cam from Sony before? Maybe that is why they got ur info.

Btw, I post after so long as my view cam is down :cry: Saw in their website, at least cost $80 for service. Not to mention spare parts, Sony stuffs, not cheap. Will take down some photos of my exterior before send it. Some technician seem like wear rough glove for servicing n cause scratches on the exterior. My view cam hardly in use, exterior still quite ok. If got deep scratch, sure complain one. :angry: Once free, will send it in, hope don't break a hole in my pocket.
