Sony RX10 as a professional tool?

Hey guys. New to the world of motion. Been using my 5d to do motion work since late last year. Recently invested in a Sony RX10 because of its features seems very good to do event and docu work. The final quality may not be the best but alot of my work is destined to be view online only and the recent firmware for the RX10 makes the camera more desirable than before.

It is rather small though and i have trouble holding it for a long time because i have big hands.

Anyone else uses the RX10 or any comments on using it for professional work? I am sure there are shortcomings on it that i have not come across yet.

Don't have an RX10 but wished my CX900 had the same constant f2.8! So far, loving the image from the 1" sensor. Here's a spot I produced for ESPN shot on the CX

If the zoom range matches the cx900, it would be very dreamy indeed.

do you use active or standard stabiliser? i understand there is a crop when using active but not too sure how much resolution is lost and whether it makes a significant difference.

It has a crop but no loss of resolution. Best to use Standard if on a tripod as there is some delay in stopping a pan on Active.
