Hi Rodney,

I love to hear your thoughts on this?

For USD 700, its again Sony way of over pricing their stuff...

Hi Jace. Personally, I don't see myself using it. 24mm is not that wide. F4 is not that bright. 1" is is not that deep for DOF so AF could be an issue. But all that's just based on the nature of my gigs which are mainly events.
I think the R100 mark V is far more versatile given the faster lens and I think there could be a Github hack to remove the 30min recording on the RX100V.
Even as a low light gimbal cam, the RXO's weight sits in an awkward category. Likely too heavy for a Rider M but could be too light for a Crane M. And if a Crane M is needed, than why not use the RX100?

The RXO is clearly priced as a unique product. So the $$$ is justifiable only if one finds value in its unique features eg, as a low-light scuba cam, an S-log drone cam, a rectilinear crash cam, an array cam for bullet time etc

Thanks.

Yes, I thought the RX100v is useful as already a compact B cam.

This RX0 can certainly get Sony users using GoPro to switch since they are familiar w Sony interface.
