Sony HVR-V1P or HVR-Z1P

Can anyone comment on this 2 models? Is the HVR-V1P good enough for low light conditions?

I am mainly shooting events and functions

Poor when compared to other cams of its class. Go for Z5 (great) or Z1.

You should look forward a bit to video in 16:9 format. Is great and more details on Wide screen LCD OR TV whom is most family are buying now. 170 still fall on 4:3 format.
