While we are still waiting for both Batis to be readily available, a 18mm batis is rumoured to be out in April.

Not surprising. Alot people on b&s are still selling stuff. E mount especially. Higher than the prices in shops (brand new).

Guys, will the batis 85mm be better than a canon FD 85mm f1.2? Just the lack of AF

the FD 1.2 will give better subject isolation and buttery blur bokeh.
the batis 85 should be sharper!

From your signature, looks like you have the FD 85mm L. Good? haha I'm on a A7ii though. Considering between FD 85mm L or Voigtlander 75mm f1.8. The M mount has more lenses to choose from instead of FD mount. That's one consideration.

Not sure about the situation now but.. Few months ago.. I was told ..need to wait about 3 months if you order. Price if i remember correctly. Its 18XX SGD for the 25 Batis.

Got from jb early this year... Waited for about 2-3 weeks for stock. Price at that time was 1.5k+
can you share which shop is that? honestly no time to walk the shops and ask one by one.

i just get 2 batis 25 from orient photo in sim lim
@ SGD 1.7 something i forget the exact figure
they offered me $1790/piece when i told them i needed 2 pieces they lower the price , i think it's $1750 each
not bad cause i can still claim some change grom GST tax refund
anyway, for those who own the batis 25, does the CA lood very bad ?
the sharpness , distortion , colour, and "zeiss" look on this lens is amazing
but the CA is quite bad, considering it's price.
try to take a close up photo of your keyboard, any keyboard nearer than the focus point have noticable green CA anything further than the focus point has noticable red CA
i tried both of my batis 25 and both behave the same
so i konw that this is not faulty lens, but just the batis 25 weakness
