Sony DSC-TX7

It's way below 600 if you only want the memory card and extra batt

Oh my goodness!!!! Are you for real??!!?!! Cos I want to sell off my current compact for about $200 and use it to fund the TX-7... can PM me the price?:bigeyes::bigeyes:

" It's way below 600 if you only want the memory card and extra batt"

After the IT show,
{ TX7 + memory card + extra battery } is way below $600?
Well, if so, those interested really should buy. Original battery is RRP at $79. I think Parisilk can
only bargain till $59 or ~$60. If extra battery is really original (cuz the model is new, think within
1-2 weeks, should not have chiong batt yet). Way below 600 + original battery is really quite a good deal. (not a seller, but can't help but to admit it is a good deal)

i know TX1 price dropped quite alot when TX7 is out. But TX7 price dropped so quickly?

I am aware China's price is dropped, but thought Taiwan and HK's price are quite stable, from intro RRP.
If Singapore's price for TX7 is going down south now, this is really good news for those interested.
Cuz i heard Sony is reducing the overall production capacity, that shouldn't push down the price.....
strange indeed.

Yeah I'm really interested in the street price!

During the IT show weekend, you could get the HX5V for 570, the TX7 for 580. You'd get the same freebies, just no photo frame.

Now the street price is back up to "normal".

Any idea where can we get the TX7 at an irresistable price? :)

Ok, pity you didn't tell me earlier!!!

Anyway, finally got my hands on the TX-7...

Some comments:
1) Quite disappointed with the build quality. I used the W300 which was made of titanium and feels really solid. The TX-7 feels really plasticky...

2) The LCD screen is really nice and colourful. The touch screen is resistive and hence less sensitive. Feels a bit small... thought it was supposed to be like 3 inches?

3) The battery is ridiculously small?! No Infolithium available? Miss my W300's battery which was much higher capacity...

4) The sweep panorama really works!!! Whee....

5) Have not tried Twilight mode yet... but the hard copy manuals are really useless...

6) Also not tried Movie mode yet... but it's really 1080i, interlaced... the other mode is MP4... but lower resolution I fancy...

7) You must use the base plate to use HDMI connection... but there're not HDMI cables... an option really...

8) A little disappointed cos I thought the TX-7 was kind of the flagship pocket camera... the W300 seemed better specced in terms of accessories...

9) Like the wide angle... 25mm is pretty decent... and also like the intelligent scene mode... works pretty well...

10) Colours look saturated on the LCD... haven't seen them on the large monitor yet. Details look decent too...
