Should be as good as a balanced connection since its interfacing via MIS.
Use it by itself or with your favorite 3.5mm lav/shotgun. (eg Rode, AT, Senny etc)
Suitable for wireless booming
Much cheaper and smaller than the XLR adapter!
Looks like it even supports PJ models that won't work with XLR-KM1
