my  almost dropped .. but then .what the heck.. i'm moving on to N or C or O ... disappointed already... maybe just keep my 700si. D5 and 7xi inside my own HERITAGE showcase and pacify myself and say Minolta is still the BEST SLR i ever had. My 3xi bought in 1991 already have built in wireless whereas the rest are still in the dark about the tecnology. Sigh. Business is Business.:dunno:

Had me frighten for a while. Good April fools joke.

Is that what you guys mean by "doughnut bokeh"?
Never paid much attention to bokeh as I actually hate getting points of light become white discs. I prefer smooth blurred splash of colour or even white.
Anyway, if Don is not build like he is, I'll probably kill him for giving me a heart-attack.

You are right. This is the 'down side' of using a reflex mirror lens, the donut bokeh.

But then again, the advantages are plenty! The price, weight and volume occupied by a mirror lens is much lower than that of its non mirror equivalent.

P/S Good April Fool's day joke that one, Don! ;)

How's that particular mirror lens when u're doing astronomy photography like the moon and doing like star trails and stuff like that?

Sony Corporation(Sony), announces today that development in digital SLR cameras compatible with Maxxum/Dynax lens mount system will be withdrawn. Ever since we decided and announced restructuring guidelines of our businesses on November 4, 2005, with Konica Minolta, we have been considering practical and detailed plan, and we would like to announce our decision made today. Sony Corporation has regretted to cause any inconvenience to Konica Minolts customers due to the decision they made this time.
