hehe, those product shots taken with a hassleblad leh, dun play play lor...
hassleblad
Sony really rich to employ really pro photographer.

From the shots not much difference between DRO standard and plus... but significant or perhaps readily noticeable difference between DRO and non-DRO... the shadow details are better in the DRO shot. But the dynamic range is not sufficiently wide to push the limit and see DRO at its best (or whatever it may show)... encouraging though...

i was at marina square today.. had a good chat with the chaps there...
S$1499 for body only.. got other bundles with kit lens, and kit lens + zoom lens... but can't remember the price...
I like the DRO+ and the fast AF!!

and the girls? oooh.. they are nice too!

1499 body only w/free 1gb mem stick
1799 body + 18-70 w/free 1gb mem stick and carrying case
2099 body + 18-70 + 75-300 w/free 1gb mem stick and carrying case

The product spokeman confirmed that the dro only work on Jpeg only
The Dro technology look good to me nonetheless

The DRO technology is simply a shadow/highlight processing in camera - that's why it's for jpeg only.

My guess is in Bangi, very close to the Sepang airport and Sepang racing track.

The company is called SOEM (short for Sony Electronic Malaysia, which also produced CTV, Hifi etc...)

M'sia cheaper cos it's not retailing from the Sony shop? The prices quoted here are from the Sony shop... as we all know u pay a premium to buy from those shops;) ...

OK.... now I am ready to take some question...

What camera is this? A100? How come the color so reddish? And kinda underexposed... Didn't they have studio flash there? Normally should have those studio flashes and should give you beautiful effects...

Hi there,

Sure, it is easy to take bright and "normal" lovely images using the studio flash... and yes, they provided that. I just take it to my liking... and this is my choice to present them in slightly warm colour tone and darker images. This is what I like. May not please your taste.

n.b some good idea on your homepage.

Hart

Hi there,

Simply put it this way, I prefer to present them like this. It is just nicely expose (ok, it maybe 1/3 under) but the white still have details, I am very careful with highlight details.

My point is, why take the same pictures as everyone else? I take photos to my liking and hopefully someone likes them... I just try to be different...

Oh by the way, if your monitor is not calibrated, you may want to do so, as the shadow will have lots of details at least on my calibrated monitor.

Regards,

Hart

as long as you like them ... and i hope those girls will in time to come develop an appreciation in your style.

I agree completely... really nice hue... very classic - like a sunset shot with the warm light lighting up their faces only... plus a hint of a shadow... very old world, like sepia like that...

I don't there is memory card comes bundled with the price.

If I am not mistaken the plant is in Melaka. Read that somewhere before. But I thought most of the production will come from China anyway.

he told us that he did not use jpg(nor raw nor raw/jpg are working) to test DRO.thats why it was not working properly.

Last night, was wondering. After reading the review from dpreview, want to buy A100 after getting the bonus. Why? I plan to go to Aust ard Feb with wife. I currently own a Dynax 7 (film) with a 28-75mm n will get a 17-35mm later.

Although I like to take photos, my skill still consider lousy. Therefore, scare Dynax 7 cannot produce the result which I want as I know my standard well. But taking a look from my ubin trip, seem ok leh.

Then I go n calculate the cost of film n developing them. Total less than $150 if I used 12 rolls of film. 12 X 36 = 432, should be more than enough. At most, 600 photos also wouldn't cost more than $200 in the end.

In the end, I decided to drop the idea of getting A100. No VC, not like Dynax 7. No FF, still got to lugi the lens actual focus length. So, now wait again for a better replacement n still can save up for some good lenses (if possible ;p )

Dun worry about exposure... just keep the fundamentals in mind... I was in the same frame of mind when I went to NZ in 2004 with the D7 but it was ok also finally... also the photo studio will help 'clean up' your shots... :D

u can also ask them to scan the hi res of the neg to CD then you have your digital file too mar..
