can i add more confusion to ur choice? haha

Actually minolta 75-300mm(big beercan) also not bad.. almost same price as beercan.

Focusing speed quite fast & with the focusing lock its even faster.

Was considering of getting that initially too... lol:embrass:

But, even harder to find good copy than beercan ;p

I think the Beercan is over-rated. Or maybe it's because the copies that I have had the misfortune to use are all imperfect. Which supports what some of the bros have mentioned here. Getting a good copy of the Beercan is quite difficult.

With the 55-200SAM, at least I know for sure what I'm buying; with the beercan, please test extensively before getting chopped.

Does each lens really differ alot from another? i tot since its the same model it should be the same right? no? im still noob at buying lens and i never own any minolta lens before..

It all depends on how the previous owner treat their gear. I've seen very good copies of the beercan going for sale.

i've had 2 beercans... one was bad and the current one is fantastic... so i gotta agree it depends on the previous owner... i used it for F1 and most of my sports.... works wonders... of course a f2.8 is my next target... but for size and versatility... i will stick by the beercan.. a good one that is... tried the 55-200 & 18-250... still stuck with my beercan
