For our clubsnap account. when i create a folder under my root directory, i notice that "write" access is not given to group and others. How do I do a similar command to "chmod 777" to the directory which is created without having a login to the server?

That is easily done via your ftp program though I am wondering why are you doing that.

oh, thanks for the tip-off.

pai sei, coz i'm quite a command based person and hardly use ftp GUI programs. and I can't find the command to chmod in a ftp session.

yar, i'm doing tht to try out some scripts
