check exif you are using D70 mod...
Nikon rulez IR :D

Great shots and series there:thumbsup:

I am always a fan of IR shots:heart::heart::heart:

omg i love ur pic lah! so damn nice! hw did u achieve this kinda contrast n color? i juz cant seems to get it.
#2 & #9.
:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

yes, i am using an ir-modified nikon d70, i believe the filter installed is an ELP filter but i'm not sure as when i bought the camera it was alr modified :)

i rly somehow cant get #10 link for med size to work, so here is the flickr link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/39395458@N02/4208809690/

How much you brought the IR camera?
from where?? ;p

haha i bought the camera off clubsnap off another clubsnapper, i think at $450 or smth. made the investment because i was too enchanted by the faux colours of ir photography :)

i always shoot in program mode for this ir camera, because my camera will know whats the best exposure to use. this allows me to concentrate on framing and composition. other than pic #4, all i did for the photos was a red/blue channel swap and some tweaking of hue/saturation and settings under match colour until my taste is achieved. for #4 i left out the channel swap - those are the colours you get straight out of the ir cam. felt that more apt for that photo.

thanks everyone for your kind comments, very encouraging! :)

i tot ELP will produce gold color leave ...
i mean really gold/yellow color leave ...
is that need to tweak again??

ya thats what i thought also, thats why i cant get really golden leaves and i'm wondering if its my post-processing or really is not an ELP filter in my camera..but i really tried many things in post processing and still cannot get, so maybe its not an ELP filter. but it doesnt matter as i dont think i'm going to open up the camera to check :D and i've come to love the above faux colour i can get from my camera, the 'golden' leaves we are talking abt doesnt satisfy me as much as the above pictures do :)

Hi isaac12345, nice IR photos you have taken :)

From what i see on your IR photos, if I'm not wrong, I think yours is an ELP 665nm IR filter inside your ir-mod D70. Can confirm with the CSer whom you bought from?

According to info from lifepixel, a 590nm IR filter will provides a very gold/yellow foliage.

good point there with the example in the link - perhaps the 'golden leaves' is a result of a 590nm filter, although the 590nm pic in the example is a bit too bright for my taste. i cant rmr who i bought it from, and when i asked him prior to the deal (long ago) he said he forgot but he think its an ELP filter.

thanks once again! and HAPPY NEW YEARS everyone!! :)
