Software recommendations (split screen effects) - Using Sony DVD cam

Hi I am currently using a sony DVD cam corder. I already have sony vegas studio 5.0 to do light editing. However, i want something a bit more such as :-

1.) Double / Split screen effects (which Sony vegas studio 5.0 does not have.)


Anyone have any recommendation of any software that could do Split screen effect (two or more video scenes/boxes in one screen) and where can I buy the software and what is the price range.(original) or can it be downloaded for sample use ) anywebsite ??

So far haven try yet. Think cnnot do it.

So do you know of any software that can do split screen effects??

If you just want tio have 2 or more videos sharing the same screen, then you can use the crop and track motion features in Vegas (not Movie Studio) to do this.

Edius can also do it, using either the layout and PIP functions together, or the 3D PIP function by itself.

PremierePro can also do it.

All of these options are a bit ex, so if you don't want to spend so much, you could check out this free editing and compositing program, zs4. I don't know if it can do exactly what you want (haven't tried it), but it's free so no harm trying.

Last time I looked (a few years back) Movie Studio didn't have track motion. But things do change so best of luck. Hope it works.

from what i try vegas pro can do those split effects but with layering of tracks. Most high end video editing software can do it.
