Anyone collect Tripod? Here is another excuse to indulge in the BUY BUY BUY syndrome. Besides, Christmas is approaching, and bonus is on its way. ;)

Any expert wants to comment on this Tripod? It's pretty light and compact isn't it? :)

Wai,

You want to be Crumpler bag collector huh? ;)

the ballhead itself will cost $35.... it's lighter than the U6600! :(

Seems like a rather light and compact tripod. Anyone has any idea whats the maximum load it can support?? I am sourcing for something for my travels as well.

Jerry

Just checked with the tripod section uncle and he mentioned that this tripod cannot take heavy loads, only small DC's. The load it can take is similar to the Slik 6600.

Sigh~~~seems like no point for me to BUY! BUY! BUY!

Haro, try here.

This tripod looks very similar to the one I saw at AP. If I'm not wrong the tripod is somewhat brownish in color. And the ball head is not removable. Also the legs have got retractable spikes. Was quoted $80 (or was it $85). It is indeed very light.

Yo zoomer, thanks for the headsup! :)

So you went there to try only huh? Would they allow me to go there with my DC to try on the teleconverter? The thread size is 58mm huh?

Wow, looks like Slik's answer to Manfrotto's Digi Tripod 719B. Looks like the tripod makers are coming out models targetted for the digicams.
