Slide duplicator

Hello people! I bought a slide duplicator for my minolta stsi slr camera, plus the maxxum t-mount. HOwever, it seems that since the adaptor does not have any electronic contacts, the camera believes it has no lense attached, so it does not focus or shoot.
Does anybody kinow of any trick? or what else can I do, try, buy..? Thanks a lot for the tips.

wat about switching your camera to fully manual mode(manual focus)?

You need to disable the AF lens check on the camera.

PS: The list does not have the settings for stsi, but you can try if its the same as for one of the other cameras. Apparently for stsi you have to press the autofocus/aperature button and on and off the camera

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I tried to set it to manual, but no luck there. The first site mentioned is in Polish, which I do not speak; the second list offers some help, but none of those methods seem to work.
So, I keep on trying and counting on people. I am sure somebody out htere knows the answer.

Thanks for the tip. So far, though, I have been unable to get it. In the chart, there is no reference to the minolta stsi; but there is to 401si which my manual mentions. Still, I did as the chart said but unsuccessfully.
Is there any way I can email directly the person who provided you with that info? Do you by anychance know his email? Maybe I would be able to get the right series of steps that way.
Anyway, thanks again for everything.

My mistake. I meant '404 si' not '401 si'. Ooops. Sorry.
