Sorry, cant help with ur camera shut down problem..... try posting in dpreview.com's minolta forum see got anyone can help u or not....

Can some one post a link to Sigma?? Can the flash do HSS? That's the most important thing right now for me cos outdoor hor, need HSS for potrait shots. My 3500xi can do everything I want except HSS...........5400 has HSS of 1/4000s!!!!! 5600 is the same but got ADI I think. BTW the Sigma got swivel head or not??

Btw: AP told me to call them in a week or 2's time to check the availability of the flash.

FYI: I went to Fotoguide to check the flash with my cam.... However.... the flash is the non-DG model. The old uncle there got mixed up.......

I'm using the flash. Aosis should be the 2nd one from the minolta forum using it

Saw your green lizard. I believe that's taken with the flash and TTL-metered? Any compensation?

How's the performance:


a) Fully compatible with minolta high speed sync (HSS)?
b) Does the flash compensation -3 to +3 give satisfactory results?
c) Is the flash metering spot-on for the subject in focus all the time?
d) How's the refresh rate like? Any slower than the 5600HS(D)?

Yupz, tht was taken using the built in flash not the external flash cause that time the flash is not out yet
hehehe... yupz TTL metered and in camera setting underexposed by -0.3EV and flash compensation of -0.3EV

I usually underexpose all my day shots at -0.3EV setting.

Performance answers:
a) Yups no problem wif HSS.
b) Dunno. Havent tried yet. Did a -0.3 & -1.0EV for shooting & bery good. Accually can just shoot without using the flash compensation as it is ADI but under certain condition u only need to conpensate.
c) Dun understand ur question.
d) Dunno cause dun have a 5600HS D to compare wif.
