Sigma 70-300mm APO DG Macro feedback

Gold ring if I'm not wrong is the Non-APO version. As the price different is not that much is better to get the APO version.

Yeap..it's the red ring APO version, one version before the current DG version. The DG version should be the same except for some lens coating changes to reduce sensor reflectivity according to Sigma.

A plain background is not good for judging bokeh. You need a background with different color and shapes to judge bokeh. IMHO.

I bought a 2nd-hand latest DG version.
Is the bokeh of this maco nice?

also, you need to have a more differentiated foreground and background distance to judge the bokeh :thumbsup:

Ha! No problem. Wasn't offended by anyone at all.
At least I learn what background I need to judge a good bokeh.

Anyway, this thread is abt the lens.
