This is a large-aperture telephoto
zoom lens for digital camera use
only, designed especially for
portrait photography. It has an
open-aperture value of F2.8, a
minimum focusing distance of 1
m, and a maximum photography
magnification of 1:5.3. The lens
has the same compact, lightweight
body and high image quality as
before, but it now features even
better performance when shooting
close-up. An inner focusing system
and inner zoom system are used
for stable holding characteristics.
The HSM model makes fast AF
speeds and quiet shooting a reality,
and it is also capable of full-time
manual focus. It also accommodates
optional APO Tele Converters.
