SD - Sony PD170 w wide converter
HD - Sony HDR-HC1
Senheisser wireless mic

Not mine, but have been using them for nearly 2 years

Buy XL-H1 izzit?

Mediacorp does not even accept footages recorded from this $14,000 machine from being broadcasted at its channels.

Because it is consider as HDV(prosumer) grade and not HD(professional) grade.

But for a normal consumer like me, a HDV is saliva drooping liao.

Does that means I can still wait n use my current 3ccd. Until the time comes HDV 1440 becomes cheaper and in full usage isn't it?:dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

DV will still be popular for another 2 years.... definately not Full HDV
yet as of now unless you are doing broadcast quality video

HiHi
Just wondering how much did your glidecam cost? What are the occasions tat you have used for and what is your take in using the glidecam during wedding shoots?

Pretty new in posting in this forum, but have been reading up threads. :P

My video gears:

1) Sony PD-150 DVCAM camera
2) Sony PD-X10 DVCAM camera
3) Sony DSR-25 DVCAM deck
4) Sony V-10P DVCAM walkman
5) Avid XpressDV 3.5 Workstation (FOR SALE) :P
6) Final Cut Studio 5.1

Now if anyone wanna buy gears, i might be open for discussion as I have intentions to upgrade.

I bought it off ebay with the simple body harness. It cost me abt USD$300 in total. The local agent is selling it for SGD$800 brand new.

Initially I wanted to use my glidecam for the banquet march ins, but found the set up too heavy to hold for long. Need to pump it up at the gym to sustain for >3 mins. Eventually found myself better off attaching a monopod to it. Anyway, I'm relatively stable walking around with the camcorders without any apparatus.

Did went to USA for a wedding video workshop. Saw how this top wedding videographer used glidecam to move around the crowd during receptions in their edited projects. He told me he had to train up to sustain his PD170 with glidecam 2000 for 5 min (and that was his longest).
